PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy that hardly falls by stabilizing a posture during walking.SOLUTION: In a walking toy 1 which includes, in a body 2, a gear box having a crank mechanism for forcedly shaking both leg members 7 alternately forward and backward and can walk with both leg members 7, in which surfaces on which both leg members 7 come into contact with a floor are formed to be a curve surface curved in a forced shaking direction to constantly bring both leg members 7 into contact with the floor, hands 3 and equipment 4 being a center of gravity positioning member are arranged in bilateral symmetry on both sides of the body 2, the gear box uses a twisted coil spring as a driving source, a lever 22 for rotating a drive gear of a gear train for transferring the rotation of the twisted coil spring to an output shaft for rotating the crank mechanism is disposed at the center of the gear box in a right/left direction, the twisted coil spring is disposed between the lever and the gear box, the twisted coil spring is twisted by pressing the lever down, and the lever winds up the twisted coil spring by making the lever to be projected outside from the body 2 to be pressed down.
