To provide a walking unit purifying polluted air by using soil and enabling a person to walk thereon.
The housing 14 of a walking unit 12 is constituted of vertical partition members 22, a support plate 24, a cushion layer 26 and a support member 28. Four vertical partition members 22 are arranged and the support plate 24 is attached to the upper ends of four vertical partition members 22 and a large number of holes 2402 are formed to the support plate 24. The cushion layer 26 is provided so as to cover the upper surface of the support plate 24 and a large number of pores 2602 are formed to the cushion layer 26. The support member 28 is provided at the place near to the lower parts of the vertical partition members 22 and communication parts 2220 are formed to the vertical partition member lower than the support member 28. A soil bed 16 is housed so as to be placed on the support member 28 under the support plate 24.
