To form a thin wall building material and manufacture it at low cost by applying foaming metal slurry to the surface of a plate building base material and then sintering it to form a porous metal.
0.05-10wt.% non-water-soluble hydrocarbon based organic solvent with the number of carbon being 5-8, 0.05-5wt.% surface active agent, 0.5-2.0wt.% water-soluble resin binder, 5-80wt.% metal powder with the average grain size being 0.5-500μm. 0.1-15wt.% plasticizer formed of one or two types of polyatomic alcohol, fat and oil, ether and ester, as required, and water are incorporated to prepare foaming metal slurry. The slurry is applied to the surface of a plate building base material 2 to form a slurry compact. The slurry compact is dried and foamed to form a porous compact layer. In addition, the porous compact layer is sintered to form a porous metal layer 3 and then a holed metal sintered body with a number of inside fine pores smaller than pores inside the skeleton portion.
