PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To longitudinally divide a sliding door for reducing the size in a wall housing type sliding door device, and to improve an interlocking means of front/rear doors easy in installation.
SOLUTION: In this wall housing type sliding door device having a sliding door 2 arranged in the doorway and a sliding door housing wall installed on one side of the doorway, the sliding door 2 is longitudinally divided, a front door 2a in front is installed so as to be housed in a rear door 2b in the rear, an interlocking means of the front/rear doors is provided in an upper frame, the interlocking means is mainly composed of slide rails, the slide rails are formed as a double slide rail structure composed of unit slide rails 6, 7 forming upper/lower pairs and a center rail 8 for connecting slide members of the respective slide rails, a support member of an upper slide rail is fixed to the upper frame by a proper means, the front door 2a is installed on the support member of a lower slide rail, the rear door 2b is installed on the center rail 8, and the rear door 2b is made to follow/transfer in the prescribed speed ratio by following transfer of the front door 2a.
