PURPOSE: To prevent water from entering the interior of a tile by applying a water repellent treatment agent to the back and sides of a ceramic tile having a glaze on the surface of its basis material and sticking the same to a base material.

CONSTITUTION: A vitreous glaze, a glaze 21 is provided on the surface of a basis material 20 to form a burned ceramic tile 2, and a water repellent treatment agent 3 is applied to the back and sides of the ceramic tile 2. The back of the ceramic tile 2 is roughened to form an adhesive surface 22, and stuck to a base material 5 through an adhesive 4. Accordingly, the tile can be effectively used on the wall surface of a kitchen and sanitary space.
