Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a vehicle body into close contact with a wall surface efficiently.SOLUTION: A wall surface traveling vehicle travels on a wall surface. The wall surface traveling vehicle includes a vehicle body and air blowing means provided to the vehicle body that blows air in a direction opposite to the wall surface and brings the vehicle body into close contact with the wall surface by the reactive force of the air blown. The air blowing means blows air diagonally below and in a direction on a plane formed by a normal direction of the wall surface and a gravitational direction. The wall surface traveling vehicle may further include detection means for detecting a posture of the vehicle body, and varying means for varying an air blowing direction of the air blowing means according to the posture detected by the detection means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
