PURPOSE: To obtain the wall of working gas channel for ICD generator having such structure as the thermal stress of an electric insulation wall can be absorbed.
CONSTITUTION: A ring-like electric insulation wall 3 is supported, at the peripheral surface thereof, between ring-like electrodes 1, 2 at the coupling parts 40, 41 thereof through thermal insulation members 4 and held in place through a gap with respect to the circumferential end faces of the electrodes 1, 2. The space between the outer wall 5 and the electric insulation wall 3 is filled with a thermal insulation layer 6 of ceramic, for example, thus constituting a working gas channel. Since the thermal stress can be absorbed even if the temperature of the electric insulation wall is high, thermal insulation efficiency of a generator can be enhanced by employing a thin wall.
