Abstract:
To provide a backing paper for a wallpaper capable of suppressing dimensional changes due to a water-based paste on application of a wallpaper under a restrain of constant organic mass or under, suppressing fuzz, and satisfying opacity required for a backing paper for a wallpaper and coating suitability for a decorative layer comprising a vinyl chloride resin and the like.SOLUTION: A backing paper for a wallpaper is provided with a substrate involving a pulp and a polyester-based fiber, and, a pigment coating layer involving a pigment and a binder, wherein the pigment coating layer comprises titanium dioxide and a second pigment selected from columnar or spindle-shaped calcium carbonate or tabular kaolin, the content ratio of titanium dioxide and the second pigment in mass ratio is 80:20-60:40, the binder is 30 mass% or under relative to the total mass of the pigment coating layer, the pigment coating layer is 10 g/m2 or over and 30 g/m2 or under, and the total organic mass is 62 g/m2 or under.SELECTED DRAWING: None
