Abstract:
To provide a telescopic wand assembly convenient for operation.
A wand for a domestic appliance comprising a plurality of tubes which are dimensioned to telescope inside one another, each tube being associated with a securing mechanism operable to secure the tube in an extended position with respect to an adjacent tube and releasable to allow telescopic sliding of the tube with respect to the adjacent tube, the securing mechanisms being arranged so as to lie adjacent one another when the tubes are in a fully retracted position, is characterised in that each securing mechanism is released by an adjacent securing mechanism when the respective tubes are retracted.
