PURPOSE: To carry out the operation of combined motion of different kind modes of cooling, drying and heating by a method wherein the flow direction of refrigerant in a connecting pipeline is specified so as to be the same direction in either one mode of cooling, drying or heating.
CONSTITUTION: Not only cooling and heating but also drying operation are carried out while necessary operations among these different kind mode operations are carried out in every indoor machines 2, wherein a multitude of sets of the indoor machines are connected, even when the indoor machines are operated in multi-system. For this purpose, an indoor heat exchanger for the indoor machine 1 is divided into fore part and after part and they are used as a heater and a cooler upon drying operation while they are used as coolers upon cooling operation and both of them are used as heaters upon heating operation. In addition, a bypass circuit, permitting the opening of the circuit upon drying operation and heating operation, is provided in the heat exchanger for an outdoor machine 1 and a heat exchanger for heating refrigerant is provided in the suction circuit of the compressor 3, further, a refrigerant control valve 18-C for heating operation is provided in a returning tube before joining refrigerant tubes returning from a plurality of indoor machines 2.
