To make the temperature of a warming closet seat surface uniform by matching the electrode of a planar heating element to be used for the warming closet seat with the shape of the closet seat and making the inter-electrode distance on the inner peripheral side of the closet seat and the distance on the outer peripheral side equal to each other.
The planar heating element 13 is arranged over the entire surface on the lower side of a surface resin layer. The electrode 12a and the counter electrode 12b are placed before and behind the closet seat atop the planar heating element 13. The electrode are connected respectively with cord 18 from the electric source. A temperature fuse 17 is connected in series to the electrode 12a. A temperature detecting element 16 is disposed between the planar heating element 13 and the surface resin layer. A controller 20 which detects the signal of the temperature detecting element 16 and controls the electric energy to be supplied to the electrodes 12a and 12b is disposed in the rear part of the warming closet seat 1. If the electrode shapes are formed like 22a and 22b, the inter-electrode distances on the inner peripheral side and outer peripheral side of the planar heating element 13 are equaled and the resistance in a circumferential direction is made constant. Consequently, the temperature over the entire surface of the planar heating element is made uniform and the comfortable warming closet seat is obtained.
