To provide a warming up device for an engine improving warming up properties.
This warming up device 1 for the engine 30 has a loop type heat pump 11 provided with a first evaporation part 6 including a wick part 6b retaining heat medium 12 in a liquid state, a condensation part 5 condensing the heat medium 12 gasified at the first evaporation part 6, and a latent heat accumulation part 7 gasifying the heat medium 12 by heating the first evaporation part 6 built therein. Consequently, heat accumulated in the latent heat accumulation part 7 is efficiently transported to improve warming up properties of the engine. The warming up device 1 for the engine 30 transports the heat medium 12 gasified by exhaust heat of the engine 30 at a second evaporation part 21 including a wick part 21b retaining the heat medium 12 in a liquid state to the latent heat accumulation part 7 to accumulate heat after warming up, and uses the heat as heat source in next warming up.
