Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pair of warmth-keeping high socks capable of keeping the skin smooth.
SOLUTION: This pair of coldproof socks 1 is designed in such a way that upper threads 13 in a leg part 12 which feels cold are added with reinforcing threads 17 to make the part thick, and the reinforcing threads 17 are twisted thread with temperature control effect composed of e.g. ceramics-incorporated acrylic blended cotton threads; wherein inside piles 15 and 115 composed of non-hygroscopic upper threads 13 of a plated stitch construction P are napped to form naps 16 and 116. This method for producing the socks 1 comprises such processes that when a leg part 12 which feels cold is knitted on the upper threads 13, the reinforcing threads 17 with temperature control effect composed of e.g. ceramics-incorporated acrylic blended cotton threads are additionally fed, both the upper threads 13 and reinforcing threads 17 are put on a big hook NL of a sinker C and knitted, and top parts of sinker loops L1 and L2 on thus knitted fabric are napped to form naps 16 and 116.
