PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light and warm underwear hardly causing sticky feeling even if perspiration is caused, and having good touch.
SOLUTION: This underwear is composed of a double circular knit by tubular plain stitch. A knitted fabric 2 at the skin side is knitted by a bulky textured yarn of multifilaments of synthetic fibers and a knitted fabric 1 at the outside is knitted by a spun yarn consisting essentially of cotton. The knitted fabric 1 at the outside has ripple-like grains. The weight of the knitted fabric 2 at the skin side has 50-80 g/m2 weight, and the knitted fabric 1 at the outside has 75-160 g/m2 weight. The weight of the fabric 1 at the outside is larger than that of the fabric 2 at the skin side. The bulky textured yarn is preferably composed of nylon or polyester filaments having 0.5-5 de single fiber size and 50-150 de total fiber size. The spun yarn comprises ≥50 wt.% cotton, and preferably obtained by mix spinning with a regenerated fiber or a semisynthetic fiber. An air layer 3 is formed by the grains, and the underwear becomes light, and hardly provides a sticky feeling even if the wearing person sweating. The underwear is suitable for work in a cold district, exercising, and leisure.
