Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp in what travel state a vehicle in a curved road is by giving a warning to the driver of a vehicle entering the curved road by adopting constitution which genetates a warning according to a movement tendency predicted based on the travel state of the oncoming vehicle. SOLUTION: On the basis of the travel state of a vehicle in a monitor area provided by an on-road monitor device and the entering direction of this vehicle entering the curved road, it is decided whether or not there is an oncoming vehicle and on the basis of the travel state of the opposite vehicle whose presence is decided, the movement tendency of the oncoming vehicle is predicted. According to the prediction, result, a warning is given to the driver. Namely, once this device obtains information or the like regarding the travel state of a vehicle on the curved road sent from the on-road communication device, a controller 31 decides whether or not there is the oncoming vehicle on the curved read according to the information. When it is decided that the oncoming vehicle is present, the controller 31 outputs primary information showing the presence of the oncoming vehicle to a warning unit 33.
