To provide a method for producing a warp-printed woven fabric having a width wider than the width of a conventional transfer paper at a low cost.
A warp V wound on a beam is brought into contact with a transfer paper on a hot roller to feed the transfer paper directing the print face upward, the pattern of the transfer paper is thermally transferred to the warps V, the warps are wound with a beam 4 having a width equal to the width of the former beam and set to the inlet side of a jacquard loom 1 and the drawn warp V is hooked on the upper roller 5. The warps V are expanded in the course of passing from the roller 5 to a warp-regulation mechanism 3 having a width of about 2 m, passed through a wire ring of the warp- regulation mechanism 3 and a reed for beating a weft H, hooked around a roller 7 and wound on a beam 6. When the warp regulation mechanism 3 is vertically reciprocated to start the winding with the beam 6, the printed warps V are successively pulled out of the beam 4, slantly transferred from the roller 5 to the warp regulation mechanism 3 to expand its width from about 1.6 m to about 2.0 m and woven into the wefts H.
