To provide a cleanable room structure which can be cleaned in order to achieve sterilization, securement of cleanliness, soil prevention, deodorization, and the like in a room, and takes the airtightness of the room into consideration, and to provide a method of cleaning the room.

According to the cleanable room structure, drain ports 11 to 14 for draining cleaning water used for cleaning, are formed in corners of the room, and in order to clean air in the room, air cleaning units 21 to 24 are arranged at the corners of the room such that air is sucked from a suction section 31 formed on a floor surface side of each air cleaning unit and discharged from a discharge section 37 formed on a ceiling side of the same. Each air cleaning unit is arranged such that its suction section is located in the vicinity of the drain port so as to form an air current toward the drain port on the floor surface.
