PURPOSE: To enhance drying effect and to shorten a drying time in a washing apparatus washing an article to be washed any drying the washed article.

CONSTITUTION: The housing 2 of a washing chamber 3 is formed in an apparatus main body 1 and a washing basket 17 having an article W to be washed received therein is received in a basket holder 18 to be arranged within the washing chamber 3 and the basket holder 18 is rotated. A hot air blowoff port 6 is formed on the housing 2 of the washing chamber 3 and hot air is supplied to the blowoff port 6 from a hot air supply device 7 to be introduced into the washing chamber 3 and discharged to the atmospheric from a hot air discharge port 60. In a washing process, a washing soln. or an aerated washing soln. (liquid/air mixed fluid) is sprayed on the article W to be washed from a nozzle device 4 and, in a drying process, heated air is sprayed on the article 4 to be washed from the nozzle device 4 and the interior of the washing chamber 3 is held to high temp. by hot air supplied from the hot air blowoff port 6 to effectively perform drying by the synergistic action of the hot air from the nozzle device and the hot air from the hot air blowoff port 6.
