The washing brush for a car wash 1 includes a brush part 2 and a shaft body 3. The brush part 2 is formed in an outer periphery of the shaft body 3, and provided with: the brush body 4 made up of a channel brush 5 formed by holding a brush piece 6 including a washing member 7 made of long synthetic resin fiber and reinforcing member 8 between a core wire 10 and belt-like body 11; and a fixing means for fixing the brush body 4 to the shaft body 3. The brush body 4 is spirally mounted in an outer periphery of the shaft body 3. In the brush piece 6, the reinforcing member 8 has rigidity greater than that of the washing member 7 and is superimposed on the washing member 7 so that the washing member 7 abuts on the surface to be washed.
