PURPOSE: To prevent laundry from being bitten and to eliminate the damaging accident of the laundry by attaching a deformable cover to the front end of a partition plate and abutting the cover to an opening/closing door so as to be in slidable contact.

CONSTITUTION: To the front end of respective partition plates 3, a cover 8 composed of a rubber spatula is freely attachably and detachably attached by a machine screw. The cover 8 is formed into a size over the entire length of the front end of the partition plates 3 and the tip of the cover 8 is abutted to the glass surface 9 of an opening/closing door 5 so as to be in slidable contact. When a washing drum 2 is rotated, since the cover 8 is brought into slidable contact with a glass surface 9 and closes a clearance 6 between the partition plates 3 and the glass surface 9 at all times, the laundry is prevented from being bitten and stable work is performed.
