Abstract:
PURPOSE:To promote elimination or reduction of labor, by providing a guide rail, partly constituted of a pipe, parallelly with many portholes provided in a passenger ship or the like and mounting a washing brush to said rail so that the porthole can be mechanically washed from outboard. CONSTITUTION:A guide rail 3 is horizontally set to the ship side shell, and an angular pipe 1, providing a nozzle 2 in the bottom part, is mounted to the front end part of said guide rail 3. And a truck 4, which is mounted movably running along the guide rail 3, is constituted being equipped with upper and bottom part wheels 5, 5a, provided in such a manner as to interpose the guide rail 3 from the upper and the bottom, and a driving wheel 7 turned by a motor unit 6 and brought into contact with an external surface of the angular pipe 1. While the truck 4 mounts a porthole washing arm 8, providing a porthole washing brush 9 in the point end, to be reciprocated in a pendulum manner by rotating the other driving shaft of the motor unit 6, in this way washing the external surface of a porthole 22.
