To perform drying with less power consumption and to shorten a period of time by distributing clothes on the inner wall of an internal tub, allowing a blow to uniformly pass among the clothes, and supplying air with less moisture into the internal tub in a drying process in a washing and drying machine having the process for drying laundry by blowing the internal tub.
The internal tub 7 having a rotary axis in the vertical direction and storing the laundry is freely rotatably supported inside an external tub 2 which is elastically hung inside a case 1. Blowing is performed into the internal tub 7 by a drying blower 40. The air to be supplied is heated by a heater 42. A controller 45 controls the operations of a motor 4, the drying blower 40, and the heater 42, and also successively controls a series of processes such as washing, rinsing, dehydrating and drying. The controller 45 rotates the internal tub 7 by the number of rotation to generate a natural blow by the rotation of the internal tub 7 in the drying process. The controller 45 also includes a process for performing blowing into the internal tub 7 through the use of the drying blower 40.
