To provide a washing and drying system with a reduced initial cost capable of reducing an energy cost by efficiently using a vacuum pump in its processes for washing and drying a product.
A product is first washed by a shower 16 in the washing process in a main station 11, and moisture present on the surface of the product is removed by air-blow treatment carried out by an air-blow device 15 as the first drying process in the main station 11. Further, the moisture remaining on the surface of the product that cannot be completely removed by the air-blow treatment alone is caused to evaporate in a vacuum casing 12 for carrying out the second drying process of degassing the evaporated moisture while ejecting the exhaust gas through an exhaust gas discharge pipe 23 in accordance with air sucked by a vacuum pump 20. The ejected exhaust gas is used as an air source for the air-blow device 15, and thereby the vacuum pump 20 can efficiently be utilized.
