To provide a method for washing freezing pipes in a machine for producing ice confections such as popsicles, enabling to uniformly and automatically wash the inner surfaces of the freezing pipes to save labor, and to provide a device for washing the freezing pipes.

This method for washing freezing pipes 1 in an ice confection-producing machine comprises successively moving plural freezing pipes 1 from a raw material-supplying section to a freezing section, a product-discharging section and subsequently a washing section on a tact movement, disposing nozzles 6 corresponding to the plural freezing pipes 1, a pump 7 for always supplying a constant pressure of washing water (m) to the nozzles 6, an intermittent jetting means 8 for blowing high pressure air or high pressure heated steam (n) into the nozzles 6 during the stoppage of the tact movement to increase the jetting force of the washing water (m), and a laterally shaking means 9 for imparting lateral reciprocating movements to the nozzles 6 during the same stoppage of the tact movement in the washing section, always jetting the approximately constant pressure of the washing water (m) from the nozzles 6 corresponding to the plural freezing pipes 1 toward the freezing pipes 1, blowing the high pressure air or high pressure heated steam (n) into the nozzles 6 during the stoppage of the tact movement to increase the jetting force of the washing water (m), and further laterally reciprocatively moving the nozzles 6 to wash the inner surfaces of the freezing pipesl 1.
