To provide a washing machine which reads only information in a memory part of a garment to be washed by utilizing the memory part such as a fine IC chip added to the garment and properly washes the garment.

The washing machine comprises: a reading part 7 for wirelessly reading the weight of the garment from the fine IC chip 6 added to each garment thrown to a tub 3; a washing operation condition deciding part (step S6) which totals the weights of the respective garments read by this reading part 7 and decides a washing operation condition based on this total garment weight; and a washing operation carry-out part (step S7) which carries out washing operation based on the washing operation condition decided by the washing operation condition deciding part.
