To provide a washing machine in which insulation of a motor is prevented from deteriorating even if water leaks out from a case of a water pump in the machine, the molding cost of the pump is reduced, and the motor can be cooled and made quiet effectively.
Even if water leaks out from the pump case 51 and flows down on the outer surface, there is no trouble because the motor 58 is placed above the pump case 51 to avoid being downstream (below). Even if the flowing down water reaches a face, on which the water pump 48 is placed, to raise a water level, a motor 58 part positioned above the pump case 51 is prevented from being invaded by water. The pump case 51 has a delivery chamber 74 along a motor chamber 56. Those can be simultaneously manufactured using a simple die to punch out along the vertical direction which the forming is carried out along. Further, because the delivery chamber 74 is along the motor chamber 56, the motor 58 can be cooled by water in the delivery chamber 74 and vibration generated by the motor 58 can be absorbed by water in the delivery room 74.
