To provide a washing machine which obtains superior installability by improving attachability of a power cord.
The washing machine comprises: a housing 2 having a rotary drum, a water tank, a drive motor, and the like provided therein; an upper frame body 3 installed at an upper part of the housing 2; a lower frame body 4 installed at a lower part of the housing 2; the power cord 8; and a cord bushing 9 integrally formed with the power cord 8. A recessed part 5 is formed at the corner of a back face part 11 composed of the housing 2, the upper frame body 3 and the lower frame body 4, and a side face part 10. The cord bushing 9 is installed at a slope part 6 formed in the recessed part 5 so as not to protrude from a face of the back face part 11 and a face of the side face part 10. Accordingly, a wasted space of the back face of the washing machine is eliminated and the installability can be improved.
