To effectively reduce oscillation of an outer tank at startup of dehydration and vibration of a washing machine outer frame on normal dehydration by reducing use amount of functional fluid.
An upper end side of a damper 32 disposed between the bottom of an outer tank 33 and the bottom of a washing machine outer frame 30 is fixed to an upper side mounting plate 43 via a pair of elastic bodies 42a while a lower end side of the damper 32 is fixed to a lower side mounting plate 41 via a pair of elastic bodies 42a. At least one of the elastic bodies 42a includes attenuation means 42 for attenuating an oscillating motion of the outer tank 33. The attenuation means 42 includes a liquid chamber 42b which is formed to be smaller than the elastic body 42a and is disposed in the elastic body 42a, functional fluid 42c comprising magnetic viscous fluid filled in the liquid chamber 42b and variable means 42d which is generated to make a magnetic field variable and changes viscosity of the functional fluid 42c according to the size of the oscillation motion of the outer tank 33. The liquid chamber 42b is formed concentrically with a mounting shaft 32b.
