Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which does not cause drastic increase in noise and heat generation, and which can detect a motor phase current with good accuracy without imposing restraint on an operation of a control unit.SOLUTION: A washing machine 10 of the embodiment includes: an inverter circuit 50 for driving a motor 24; a shunt resistance 53 (current detection resistance) provided between a switching element (IGB51) and a ground potential of a lower arm side, and for detecting a motor phase current; a level shift circuit 64 for level-shifting a terminal voltage of the shunt resistance 53; and a control unit 55 for incorporating an analog-digital converter in which the level-shifted terminal voltage is inputted. A reference voltage for regulating an upper limit of an analog voltage range which the analog-digital converter converts is set to be lower than a power source voltage (VCC) of the control unit 55, and the reference voltage is made to be the same as the power source voltage (1.8 V) of the level shift circuit 64.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
