Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine and a washing and drying machine that are capable of bringing an inverter into a state where an output limitation is unnecessary in an early stage, when stopping a rotating DC brushless motor, even in a case where an inverter output limitation is necessary for preventing a fracture of a circuit element by counter electromotive voltages of the motor, and stopping the motor at a time as intended.SOLUTION: When stopping a rotating DC brushless motor 19, an inverter circuit 401 of the drum-type washing machine 100 turns on discharge switches 53a, 53b, 53c to operate discharge resistors 54a, 54b, 54c. Thus, it is possible to reduce a rotational energy of a rotary drum 11 earlier than usual and shorten a time in which capacitors 41, 42 are charged by counter electromotive voltages of the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
