Abstract:
PURPOSE: To wash without passing hot water and simultaneously to sufficiently remove trihalomethane from activated carbon by making the rate of temp. rise in a vessel housing activated carbon and water not less than the constant value.
CONSTITUTION: When time previously inputted in a controller 13 is up, the controller 13 judges if a solenoid valve 8 is in the stop state and if not in the stop state, it gives a signal to a valve driving device 11. And the controller 13 also gives a signal to a heater driving device 10. At this time, a heater 4 is made to generate heat so that the rate of temp. rise of water in a filter medium vessel 2 may be not less than 1.5°C/min and what happens is observed by a temp. sensor 5. Water in the filter medium vessel 2 is heated to about 80°C and heat washing regeneration of activated carbon is made for 60min with the 80°C maintained.
