Abstract:
To improve durability by suppressing the poisoning of a NOx occluding element by sulfur.
Titania whisker is mixed with a part of a carrier such as alumina to be used. Because the titania whisker has proton between Ti layers, the NOx occluding element is carried between the Ti layers by ion exchanging and stably existed as it is fine. Then, the SOx is hardly adsorbed on alumina or the like and the probability that the NOx occluding element existing on the interface between alumina or the like and the probability that the titania whisker is brought into contact with SOx is decreased.
