Title:
WASTE GAS DENITRIFYING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3942673
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of denitrifying waste gas for high temperature use and for low temperature use in which high denitrifying activity is obtained by a minor improvement.
SOLUTION: Water solution in which ammonium ions (NH4+) and nitrate ions (NO3+) coexist is injected from a storage tank 4 through a fixed delivery pump 5, piping 6 and a spray nozzle 7 into a flue 8 for leading waste gas discharged from a NOx source 1 such as a combustion device or the like to a catalytic reactor 3 and is mixed with the waste gas. The waste gas after mixing is contacted with a titanium base catalyst in the reactor 3 to react NO in the waste gas with a part of ammonium nitrate in the coexisting water solution to turn it into NO2. The NO2 and NO in the waste gas are reduced into nitrogen to remove it by ammonia components in the coexisting water solution.
