To improve gasification efficiency by facilitating the work for removing deposits on the jetting burner in a reforming furnace and stabilizing the combustion in the furnace.
The waste gasification apparatus is provided with a waste gasification furnace, in which the combustion zone is formed by feeding an oxidizer from the bottom of the pile of the waste introduced in the vessel to cause partial combustion and the generated gas is discharged from the top of the vessel, and a reforming furnace in which the generated gas discharged from the waste gasification furnace is accepted and heated. The reforming furnace is equipped with a burner 22 which is installed on the wall of the furnace and jets the generated gas into the furnace, a poker 23 which advances toward the tip of the burner 22 through a guiding space 24 formed around the burner 22 and retreats from the inside of the furnace and is put back in the guiding space 24 and a driving means 26 which moves the poker 23 back and forth.
