PURPOSE: To efficiently recover waste heat from a furnace such as arc furnace or converter with which the quantity of waste heat fluctuates largely with a waste heat recovering device which recovers the waste heat by a waste heat boiler from the waste gas of the furnace by controlling the discharge rate of the waste gas according to the temp. of the waste gas from the waste heat boiler.
CONSTITUTION: The waste heat recovering device is constituted of a flue 2 for discharging the waste gas from the furnace 1 such as arc furnace or converter to the outside, the waste heat boiler 3 which is installed in the flue 2 and recovers the waste heat from the waste gas in the flue 2 and a fan 4 for controlling the discharge rate of the waste gas. A means 5 for detecting temp. is provided to the flue 2 between the boiler 3 and the fan 4. A means 6 for controlling the discharge rate controls the discharge rate of the waste gas of the fan 4 according to the waste gas temp. detected by the means 5.
