PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration in the waste heat recovering capacity by adjusting the height of the fin of the finned tube of a heat exchanger to a height enough to form a water film due to dew condensation on the finned tube surface, and removing paint mists by the water film due to dew condensation.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust air 10 from the coating booth is introduced into an exhaust passage 2, and the waste heat is recovered by the heat exchanger 3 having a finned tube 6 in the exhaust passage 2. The finned tube 6 of the heat exchanger 3 is formed with the finned tube 6 provided with a fin 5 having a height enough to form a water film on the surfaces of the fin 5 and a tube 4, and the finned tube 6 having a large heat-transfer area and provided with a fin 5 higher than the above-mentioned fin 5 capable of forming a water film. The finned tube 6 provided with the fin having a height enough to form a water film on the surfaces of the fin 5 and the tube 4 is positioned on the upstream side 11 of the exhaust passage 2. Consequently, paint mists are removed by the water film due to dew condensation, and the deterioration in the waste heat recovering capacity can be prevented.
