Abstract:
To provide a waste ink recovery unit which enables an inkjet recording device to carry out an action that generates a waste ink regardless of whether or not a waste ink tank is attached.SOLUTION: A waste ink recovery unit includes: a first tank 43 in which an outlet 43b is formed at a lower part; an upstream side coupling 47a attached to the outlet 43b of the first tank 43; a downstream side coupling 47b connected to the upstream side coupling 47a; and a second tank 44 which connects the downstream side coupling 47b attached to an inlet 44a formed at an upper part to the upstream side coupling 47a to function as one waste ink tank for recovering a waste ink with the first tank 43. The upstream side coupling 47a and the downstream side coupling 47b include a valve mechanism 48 so as to prevent the waste ink from flowing out in a state where the couplings are disconnected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
