To provide a waste liquid treatment method for effective waste liquid control by surely grasping data on individual waste liquid containers when, in a facility such as university, laboratory, and hospital, a small quantity and many kinds of waste liquids discharged from waste liquid sources are received by a centralized waste liquid treatment station with small containers to be treated separately.
Bar codes 2 in which the specific number of the container, the source and classification of waste liquid are recorded are given respectively to waste liquid containers 1 in each of which the waste liquid is stored according to determined classification. In a centralized treatment station, the bar codes are read out 5, the waste liquid is measured 7 and stored, and the bar codes are read out 11 again when a waste liquid is treated so that a computer prepares waste liquid distribution data indicating the place and quantity of the waste liquid based on discharge source and classification of the waste liquid. The discharge source of the waste liquid receives the data by a transmission means 18 and adjusts the delivery of the waste liquid by itself.
