PURPOSE: To obtain a waste matters treatment device for city garbage, etc. that makes safe operation possible in such a manner that the cooling of a furnace bottom is eliminated by mintaining the temp of the furnace bottom due to the variation of garbage-like matters, matters to be treated.
CONSTITUTION: When waste matters 15 in a hopper 5 are charged into a furnace by alternatively opening and closing horizontal opening and closing valves 3, 4, waste matters 15 are dried in a drying zone 12 because water in the waste matters is deprived by the heat of rising exhaust gas, the matters 15 are pyrolyzed in a pyrolysis zone 13 and discharge gas, and organic combustible matters are carbonized. Said carbonized matters partially burn by heated air fed from a tuyere. Unburnt matters drop to a combustion dissolution zone 14, and matters, such as, glass, etc. melted here are fluidized, collected to a furnace bottom and discharged from a molten matter extracting port 11.
