Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste oil regeneration method that can be used as pretreatment when metals, water, etc. are removed or reduced to produce good quality regenerated fuel oil containing a small amount of ash and water and to further produce regenerated lubricant.SOLUTION: A waste oil regeneration method includes a first step of adding a regenerating agent selected from an aluminum sulfate compound and an iron sulfate compound or its aqueous solution to waste oil and mixing them, and a second step of separating and recovering oil from the obtained mixture, and, if necessary, further includes a third step of adding an aqueous solution of a polyacrylamide to the separated and removed oil and mixing them, and a fourth step of separating and recovering oil from the obtained mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
