To pulverize a large-sized carbide keeping its original form when pyrolyzing waste, into powder before discharging it.
High temperature heated gas 13 is allowed to flow through a heating passage 6 between an inner cylinder 4 and an outer cylinder 5 while supplying waste 9 to the inlet 2 side at one end of a rotary pyrolyzing kiln 1 by a waste feeder 7. The pyrolyzing kiln 1 is rotated at low speed to pyrolyze the waste 9 in the inner cylinder 4 with external heat to produce pyrolyzed gas 10 and pyrolyzed residue 11 which are discharged from the outlet 3 side. In this constitution, a pulverizing member 31 is disposed in an outlet 3 side position of the inner cylinder 4 movably in a circumferential direction following the rotation of the pyrolyzing kiln 1. The pulverizing member 31 is formed as a cylindrical rigid body to crush the large-sized carbide into powder while moving.
