To provide a waste treatment apparatus which is capable of exhausting a gas generated in the waste treatment process after sterilizing and deodorizing the same to detoxify.
The waste treatment apparatus 1 is provided with a heat sterilization tank 4 to sterilize the waste 10 by heating in which an exhaust port 4b for discharging the gas 10a generated by heating in the heat sterilization tank 4 is installed and an exhaust passage 5 for discharging the gas 10a to the outside connected to the exhaust port 4b is installed. The exhaust passage 5 is provided with a detoxifying treatment part 6 with a sterilization means 63 and a deodorization means 64 in order to conduct the detoxification treatment. An air introduction channel 7 that communicates with the upstream side of the detoxifying treatment part 6 is installed and optimizes the temperature of the gas passing through the detoxifying treatment part 6 by diluting the gas 10a with air 90 allowed to flow in from the air introduction passage 7.
