To realize a wastewater modifying apparatus for modifying acidic wastewater to generate desired neutral or alkalline water by arranging a control means for performing the electrolysis corresponding to the amount of wastewater recovered from a combustion device.
A control device 30 is provided so as to generate alkalline electrolytic water by applying voltage across a pair of electrodes 22 and 23 and has a wastewater amount arithmetic means 30a for calculating the amount of wastewater discharged from a latent heat recovering heat exchanger 12b when a hot water feeder 10 is operated and an electrolysis control means 30b for calculating quantity of electricity necessary for performing the electrolysis corresponding to the discharge amount of wastewater. By this constitution, acidic wastewater can be modified to make neutral or alkalline water.
