Abstract:
To provide a wastewater treatment method which enables the efficient recovery of heavy metal compounds derived from an aromatic carboxylic acid production process from wastewater containing the heavy compounds.
In the wastewater treatment method, the wastewater derived from the aromatic carboxylic acid production process is brought into contact with a chelate resin to recover the heavy metal compounds contained in the wastewater into the chelate resin, and the chelate resin comprises particles having a uniform coefficient of 1.4 or less.
