Abstract:
To provide a reliable watchdogging method and anomaly monitoring circuit that monitor a microcomputer for anomalies.
The anomaly monitoring circuit 1, which monitors a microcomputer 2 for anomalies, comprises a watchdog circuit 11 adapted to execute a watchdog process set in a main routine program before each processing task only if the preceding watchdog process has set a watchdog flag which further executes the watchdog process as initialization upon power input, and a signal output circuit 12 for monitoring for the watchdog flag and outputting an anomaly detection signal if the watchdog flag is not set in a predetermined period. The watchdog circuit 1 sets the watchdog flag with a timer interrupt flag of the microcomputer 2.
