Abstract:
To provide a water-absorbing composite sheet useful for production of a paper diaper, a sanitary napkin or the like, and having a high water-absorbing rate and a large water-absorbing capacity while keeping the flexibility.
The water-absorbing sheet is obtained by fixing a water-absorbing resin in an amount of 100-500 g/m2 to a fibrous base material, and has ≤30 mm flexibility measured by a specific measuring method. Preferably, the water-absorbing composite sheet has characteristics of ≥8 kg/m2 saturated water absorption of an artificial urine, ≥4 kg/m2 water-holding capacity, and ≤20% dropout rate of the water-absorbing resin when absorbing the water.
