Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonwoven fabric with a combination of high water absorbency with resistance to laundering, and to provide a method for producing the nonwoven fabric.
SOLUTION: This water-absorbing nonwoven fabric is composed of a nonwoven fabric A layer and a nonwoven fabric B layer; wherein the A-layer has a density of 0.05-0.3 g/m3 and comprises 3-60 wt.% of highly water-absorbing fiber, 5-60 wt.% of superfine fiber ≤1 denier in fineness, 5-30 wt.% of thermofusible fiber and ≥10 wt.% of rayon fiber ≤3 denier in fineness, and the B-layer contains ≥5 wt.% of thermofusible fiber and has a density lower than that of the A-layer.
