PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing and water-repelling fabric which has a good water-absorbing performance and a good water-repelling performance and does not lose these characteristics for a long period.
SOLUTION: This water-absorbing and water-repelling fabric is characterized by disposing piles comprising polyester-based fibers on at least one side of a two-layered structure woven or knitted fabric and imparting a water-absorbing agent and a water-repelling agent to one side having the piles and the other side, respectively.
