Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain both of water absorptivity and biodegradation property and to maintain the water absorptivity even under pressurized condition.
CONSTITUTION: This water-absorbing resin is obtd. by mixing polysaccharide and amino acid (amino acid and/or amino acid polymer) and heating to crosslink. This water-absorbing resin shows ≥10g/g water absorption rate for physiological saline soln. and ≥10ml/g water absorption rate for physiological saline soln. under pressurized condition, and >10% biodegradation degree. The water absorption rate under pressurized condition is measured by using a measuring device comprising a balance 1, chamber 2, air sucking pipe 3, conduit 4, glass filter 6, and measuring part 5.
