Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbent making a thin water absorbent absorbed with moisture highly concentrated, being easily recycled and having low viscosity, a draw solution using the water absorbent and having low viscosity and high osmotic pressure and a forward osmosis water treatment method using the draw solution.SOLUTION: In a forward osmosis water treatment method: a water absorbent contains aliphatic amides such as N,N-dipropyl acetamide, N,N-diisopropyl acetamide, N-propyl propanamide, N-isopropyl propanamide, N,N-diethyl butanamide and the like; the water absorbent absorbs moisture and has lower limit critical solution temperature in a state of a thin solution; a draw solution being the water absorbent and a supply solution containing moisture are contacted via a semipermeable membrane; and the thin draw solution produced by absorbing moisture in the supply solution by the draw solution is heated and recycled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
